What is going on at Whites? I have called about my TDI 5 times this past week since it arrived at 9:15am Monday. They were unable to lacate it until Thursday afternoon but I was unable to talk to anyone about it because no one knew who was going to be working on it because the techs in the service department had been moved (replaced) and new techs were just starting to get organized? When one asks for the service department they are switched to a line (Laura) that no longer works in the service department and given to a voicemail that is full. I was told Fiat to call back next Tuesday or Wednesday and then they might know who or when my TDI would be worked on. Frustrating is an understatement....jim

Jim, glad you are still with us. As I understand it White's is reorganizing so they are short staffed where it counts in Customer Service. It is almost like they were sold to First Texas too like Fisher was......

Very sad. That is probably why they said something about installing new data. :icon_scratch: Without decent customer service, Whites will go downhill.

I sent white's headphones in that were new but only had sound in one earpiece. Emailed Todd and he told me to send them in and they'd send out a new pair. Called today because Todd has not responded to an email requesting an update. Talked to a tech, said they arrived 8/16 but they haven't gotten to them yet to repair them and it would be a couple days.Sounds like White's is going downhill.

Even with the shake up taking place at Whites, their service department is still trying to make a difference. I was told by the receptionist that a replacement TDI is on the way to me and was shipped out today. I have been a Whites customer for over 25 years. I hope that it continues to direct it's attention to customer needs.

I finally got someone to respond via email. Mary Hudson said she would ship new headphones ASAP.

First Fisher ..then ... Minelab ... now ... Whites ... I wonder what detector company will slide down hill next on service ..??????

Regardless of changes, Whites is still trying to maintain good service like they have always done in the past.

Yea.. fill me in...

I got my replacement TDI today and it is like it should be with depth and sensitivity. Seems the GB potentiameter was bad that caused internal problems with the one I sent in for repair. They replaced it with a new one. Regardless of what changes are going on, Whites is trying to stay ahead of the curve. :icon_thumleft:

I have a feeling it had to do with the new product release...the TDI SL. I have heard that the TDI is no longer going to be offered. I wonder if that delayed your replacement.

Neil,

I do not think so. I am sure that Whites still has a stock of TDIs even though production is going on with the new SLs and TDI Pros. I am sure dealers have a stock of TDIs also. It will take time to phase out the TDI and might take as long as a year or more to do so. Whites is not a small company. It is a multimillion dollar business.
