I just got my TRX yesterday and I love it already (big upgrade from the BH thing). However, I have noticed a strange behavior that is repeatable, at least with mine. If I hold it vertically, tip up, and turn it on, it begins to beep/vibrate if I flip it over and point it straight down. Of course, a quick push of the button, and everything is fine again. It doesn't do this at any other angle, as far as I can tell.

Can anyone else duplicate this behavior? I might contact White's and at least mention it to them, just to see what they have to say about it.

I haven't had this happen with mine, but it will false sometimes during a hunt. When it does this, I will reset it.

Seems possibly you have a problem with yours.

I called White's, and they decided that the pinpointer likely had some issue. So, they had me take it to the local White's dealer here in town, who swapped it out for me. I'm pretty happy about the great support from White's and from Emerald Coast Coins here in Pensacola. The new TRX does not exhibit the same strange behavior...it's working great, and I'm excited to take it out for a trial run.
