I recently purchased a 6T, a Fisher 1235x and a 1266x from a fellow detectorist trying to raise the cash for a very expensive Minelab machine to hunt gold with in Oregon. I really like the way the 6T performs with the stock coil but I hunt some very trashy sites so I have ordered a CORS 5x8 DD coil. I'm finding that there are not many options available,as far as coils go,for this machine. I would have expected more since this machine offers auto gb, beach mode and a back lighted screen, options seen on newer and more expensive ones. Does anyone have experience and/or advice to offer?

The only thing I can say is read everything about a detector and it's options before you buy. Some detectors seem to have a lot more options for coils etc than others but many times those same options cover many detectors of that brand

Whites offers a 4X6 "shooter" coil for this machine and other Prizms. Works well in trash, I have one.

The 6T was discontinued some years ago and replaced with the Coinmaster GT which has been replaced with the TreasureMaster. I believe the coils for the Treasure master will work on the 6T as they are both 8kHz machines. However, the only additional besides the stock 9 and 4x6 would be the 10" DD that comes with the Treasure Master Pro. Nell sells coils for whites Coinmaster and Prizim machines if you want to chance it. If the CORS 5x8 actually works on it you should be good to go unless it is really really trashy, as that size should do well in moderate to heavy trash.
Good luck!

The CORS 5.5 x 9. Fortune coil arrived today, hoping to get in some swing time after work.
