I have found a Whites MXT being sold for $100 in perfect condition, is that a good deal? I know it sells for$720 but I have a Garrett At Gold that I have used since last October and I love it! My dad used a Whites and loved it...I just want to know if I will get any benefit from adding it to my AT gold that I don't already have with the gold. Thank you for any help!

Snap it up, you can't go wrong and could sell it for more than that no problem. It's one of the best detectors out and can get targets as deep as the V3i or E-trac anyday with the right coil. HH

$100.00 is a steal price... Great for you!

Give them $100.00 and Ill pay $150.00 if its in great shape if you don't like it... :) You cant lose...

I'm surprised no one has said it yet, when a deal is too good to be true, say it with me" it usually is not" come on guys.

Agreed. Why would someone sell a $20 bill for a $1? Makes no sense. I'll tell you what though, I do have this bridge...

I bought one a couple years ago from a pawn shop for $140.00, some people don't know what there worth or just want to sell it quick without having to mess with shipping it. Just make sure you can check it out first. HH

Sure there are cases where the wife of a metal detectorist sells his stuff after he passes on or after the divorce, and sells it cheap. Yeah in that case I might buy it

Well if it's where I can put my hands on it first and check to see if it's working right, then I would have no problem. If it was something that someone would have to ship to me then I wouldn't do it as I'm sure it would be sold before I ever seen it as there are many people who sell used detectors for profit and they would snap it up in a second, not to mention the people looking for a great deal on a detector for themselves. HH

I tried it out for a day and took it to a school that has been metal detected before and found about $1.50 in clad. I had downloaded a manual online so I could set up for coins. I passed on it though because I was having difficulty with swinging it due to weight and my elbow hitting the bar. I looked at a pic online and seen that it should have had an arm rest which probably would have made a big difference in the swinging problems I was having. I also noticed that the lower arm reinforcing screw clamp was missing but other than that it worked great. I told my cousin who wants to start metal detecting about it and he is going to buy it. Thanks everyone for your advice though!

You can get those parts cheap from White's. it's still worth $100.00 without a doubt. HH
