Saw this on Craigslist. This ad has been there a while. Is the price fair? I looked at similar detectors on eBay with and without extra goodies. My plan was to offer $700.00 then take a chance on eBay.
Before you chastise me for not keeping it, I just bought a Vaquero so I can't justify the expense but if I can make a profit, I'll buy it.

This is a higher end detector and all listed is in like new condition. Except instruction manual, Condition like a paper back thats been read a few times. $750.00 Cash only.

Hey Ken. :hello:

Sounds like a decent enough deal.

Contact the buyer and see if you can speak with him via Telephone.
If not burden him with many questions ref: the unit.

Just be careful. I haen't heard of too many problems with these transactions but, you never know what the machine went through. You know?

I'll have your Tesoro sent out asap!

Mike

Hey Mike!! Yeah he added his phone number to the listing so contacting him will be no problem. If anyone else here wants to check it out, by all means do so. I won't feel sniped if another T-netter gets a bargain.

Can't wait to get my grubby hands on that Vaq!!! M.O. sent yesterday.
Please don't ship it to New York!! (private joke :laughing7:)

How old is this machine? If it is an older machine I think you should pass on it. I bought my DFX300 off eBay from someone who lives less than an hour from me. I asked a lot of questions most important was why was he selling a brand new machine for $800. He was an elderly gentleman and could not understand all the programs. He used it less than an hour and gave up. He wanted a machine with just one or two knobs. So I got the machine with full warranty. I also picked it up personally and had a great visit with him. For the price you say he is wanting for it I believe you can get a new machine or newer machine for that price. It also looks like you got a machine from 4-H. Congratulations on that purchase. I know Mike personally and he is a fanstastic dealer and will treat you right.

Not sure how old the machine is. The pictures in the ad shows the face of the unit if that helps identify it. Other than that, no clue.
I had been looking at this ad for several weeks. It's been re-listed several times and I was seriously contemplating the unit until I came to my senses and bought from Mike.
Noticed that he added: "and all listed is in like new condition." (which means little, I know)

If the machine isn't close enough to drive over and look at it in person and try it out, I wouldn't buy it.

Pass on this. If it has been listed for several weeks and relisted someone would have bought it by now if it was worth it. I am assuming it is an older machine and he is trying to add the accessories to make it a good deal and they are probably just as old. It is your decision but if you are wanting to buy and resell on eBay I am afraid you will get burned.

Probably right. Will pass on it.

@ Felinepeachy: He's about 20 miles from me so distance not an issue.

Thanks for everyones input!! :icon_thumright:
