Whites Coinmaster GT

Pros and Cons on the Whites Coinmaster GT?

I have the GT with the stock coil and just got the DD mini shooter coil. I loveee the GT! I go with a lot of guys with much pricier units, and I rarely leave without the best find in the group. There are better and deeper detectors out there of course, but I believe the GT is by far the best in this price point. It has great pin pointing skills, clear tones with nice ID screen, automatic ground tracking and many others. I have not really found any cons. If you check out the threads I have started, every one of those finds were with the GT. Customer service doesn't get better than the AMERICAN MADE Whites.

Feel free to ask me any questions! Just like this post so I know to come back and answer.

The cons I have found are, in a bit of minerilaizeation the VID is not real accurate especially below 4", In colder weather (under 50) mine will completely loose threshold in all metal mode (nothing can be done about this, no adjustments just a fact of life with non adjustable software based threshold) At temps under 50 it will overload on the highest sensitivity, again, nothing to do about it, Not as well balanced as some other machines, shaft can be wiggly with no cam locks, not much of a coil selection, after market coils do not work on it, poor retention of resale value (when purchased new at list price like I did)

Pros, simple to use, multi tone let you learn very quickly what trash sounds like vs a coin, fast recovery, many features as stated above, that are missing on older entry level machines.

owned a CoinMaster GT --fairly deep machine-- the numerical ID was jumpy and the pulltap notch should have been devided into two notches like the treasuremaster pro which in my opinion a higher performing / better machine

Thanks for all the info. I can't wait to try it out. I will get back if I find anything.
