White star line token. Same company associated with the titanic????????

Found this dime size token. White Star Lines. Back, Good for one fare. Does anybody know the origin of this token. Is it US issue and is it the white star lines associated with the titanic. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a bus token that may have come from a company of the same name that once operated in Peoria, Illinois.
