white metal plate

Just found this white metal artifact. Anybody know what this could be? I found it in west central Mississippi in the area of the Vicksburg campaign near the railroad. It has an old style eagle holding arrows and olive branch and 13 stars underneath.

Perhaps a sword part like a rain guard.

It's closed at the end with one one in it, in the corner.

Sure looks like it could be a Scabbard throat from that angle, wow. Have a side view?

I think an identical find has been posted here at TN in the past. Can you post more pictures from different angle so we can see what it is please.

just add it to the original post by using the edit if possible. Im going to go way out on a limb here that i seem to remember this as an ink stamp. But i need to see more photos

It is an ink stamp. CBG positively IDed it with a matching pic
