hi,

was just digging over a new patch of grass for a veggie garden and thought why not put the detector over it. I found these three objects and i was wondering if you could help me ID their use and rough date. They appear to be made of copper? and look to be hand made. The reason i thought they were a bit odd was the fact both ends or enclosed. I think one of the flat ends has a number written on it, but i might be looking into it too much!

The longer objects are 3" and the shorter is 1 1/4"

They are rivets, now what they belong to is a whole other can of worms.

When I find these I always think that they were used to fasten wooden planks to farming. Like on buckboard, wagon seats, and some early vehicles.
