which to purchase...white or minelab

We are thinking of getting another metal detector...either Minelab Exclabor SE, or Explorer or a White's..we do plan on getting our feet wet in salt water but no diving....would appreciate any replies...thanks...we presently own a Quattro and have been very pleased with it even if it is a tad slow in recovery but it sure does find deep items!!!

I also owned a Quattro and bought a Excal 1000 about a month ago and really like it. I don't dive but use it on shore and in shallow water. VERY easy to use.

If your not going out in the water very deep, Many love the Minelab Sov. GT. It has more features than the Excal II and you can easiely upgrade to the WOT coil.

Excal - GT is ok but it only takes one unnoticed wave or a hole to trip and it is toast
