Which pinpointer do I buy ?

I will be buying a new pinpointer this spring . I currently have the Automax Precision 4 and I want to upgrade . I am looking for some opinion's on the White's and the Garrett's pinpointer's.

I run the White's Bullseye Pintointer II which has served me well, but I know I have to be gentle with it. I have read a number of things about both the Garrett and the Minelab. If you ask the Garrett guys, they will tell you the Garrett, if you ask the Minelab guys, they will say the Minelab. As for me, I'm probably going to go with the Garrett.

I used Garrett detectors for years and still have several. I now use mostly Tesoro detectors. The answer for a pinpointer? Garrett propointer. The first one started acting goofy at about 14 months old. Garrett replaced, quick with no issues. How well do I like it? I bought a second one for backup. In case I manage to destroy or lose one.

Garrett Pro Pointer has been great for me. No complaints here!!

I've had a few but the Pro pointer works so good I'm sticking with it. It's tough and works great. I believe my recovery time is much faster with it.

I had the Cen-Tech $15 pinpointer from Harbor Freight, just upgraded to the Garrett Pro Pointer - no comparison. Love the Pro Pointer.

i like the adjustabilty of the minelab, had a couple targets on the side of a hole, turned it way down and it put me right on both.

I have a cheapie model and my buddy got the garrett; i could not BELIEVE the difference. that garrett is the cadillac of pin pointers.

I have the minelab pro find its like the garrett but it has a few features better then the garrett like the fact you can turn off the sound and have it just vibrate. also you can adjust the sensitivity! love it

I had a Centech and did all the mods and it worked okay.I bought a Garrett late in the season last year and it really changed MD'ing for me. My recovery time was cut in half and I am sure the Minelab PF will give the same results. I think either the Garrett PP or the Minelab PF do what they are intended to do and that is to help get the good stuff out of the ground, just a lot faster.I would like to eventually get the Minelab PF since I swing an Xterra but for now I really enjoy the Garrett PP.
