which one for relic hunting?

Dont know if you are looking at those units specifically, but the Tesoro Tejon is DEEP and sensitive !!
Brad

Yup, I second a Tesoro

fisher 1270! deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

Most anything that can use a large coil and hunt in all metal. I like my Tejon but if I still had arms like Popeye I would keep using my Sov GT.

You have two choices. Tejon or Minelab 705.

My Tejon is very deep and easy to use.

I know a guy who digs really deep targets with his 705, he has owned a Safari and did not like it but I saw him dig a minnie ball which was at least eleven inches deep. It was still in the side of his hole, so it was easy to measure. This guys knows Minelab and if he ways the 705 is better than the Safari then I believe him---MoRelic, if you have seen any of his posts on other forums.

As for Fisher; reviews are not real good and I would stay away. Lots of problems with overhead wires according to reviews I have read.

oh please! the mxt does'nt stand a chance to others mentioned!

Hey, mr psychic "vaquero44", I don't remember seeing you metal detecting up here in Canada.. boy you sure get around. I must bow down before your superior knowledge of ground conditions. Maybe the next time you're up here we can go out prospecting and maybe do some coin/relic hunting and you can show me how it's done. Hell maybe it was just a big ol' dream.. comparison testing the MXT, XTerras 70/705, Vaquero, SD 2200d, GPX 4500, Excalibur, Sovereigns.. YAWWWN.. back to sleep. ...Willy.

your taking me to seriously sorry if i insulted you did'nt mean any harm man best wishes to you in canada

Dragon The F75 is great for me . You can read good and bad on all detectors.
Not all detectors work at there best in all soil conditions.
Find out what others are using in your area and test a few if you can.

I had a Sov GT traded for my F75 then i got a E Trac to try
Still have the F75 it was a great fit for me . Good Luck

im going to say the f75 also. i love mine. ive had no problems and its quite as a mouse, when you learn how to tame it. its perfect. and i wouldnt knock the mxt. i hunted with one for a long time. its a great machine. all mentioned are great detectors, but i personally think the f75 is the best.
