Detector(s) used
Tersoro Cortes
I've been detecting for almost 2 years and I'm hooked. When driving, I find myself half looking at the road and half looking for new places to hunt. My question is which detector to upgrade from. I have a Cortes and feel it's a very good detector but have problems with seeing the screen(use reading glasses) and I'm not real happy with the depth. I mostly hunt for coins and relics. Thanks for any help. Thanks dirt-n-spector

etrac,explorer,xterra,sovereign- compare with this detectors Cortes is not very good. I have explorer, cibola, tejon and friend have cortes. I live in Europe and started to look faster an better detector for small items in iron places then my old explorer xs, so I tested cibola it was BAD, checked friends cortes-again BAD, last left my Tejon, but what I saw Tejon not very big different from the rest Tesoros. yes they are better for small items in some situation, but everything ells is very sad picture. good luck in founding better detector. I think a serious coin or relic hunter hunter would require two different metal detectors.I have used Explorers and Sovereign's for coin hunting excellent depth, but both slow sweep and won't cover a big area as fast as some other detectors.I prefer these metal detectors for most of my type of hunting older worked out parks.A good compromise metal detector for both coin and relic would probably be a Teknetics T2. Good Luck.

Check out the AT Pro. Fast sweep, fast recover and excellent target differentiation. Depth is awesome.

I really like the Xterra models by Minelab. The numbers are big and easy to see. Has a wide variety of coils , only uses 4 AA batts and is lightweight. Also the depth is good too.

check out the t2, t2 limited, f75, f75 limited.............large clear displays and great depth!!!

My wife hates that! I feel you on that one friend. The X-terra 505 should be a good upgrade for you.

What is your budget? :dontknow:
