This lapel pin is sterling silver. Dime is there for size reference. There are wheat sheaves around the outside with a torch in the middle with the letters JCL. Does anyone know what JCL stands for. Group? Organization? Initials of person?

Darn, Omnicognic beat me to it. The Junior Classical League is a nationwide High School organization for kids studying Latin (as best I can remember). Could be from anywhere. Nice find though. -Ben

Thanks for the info. I had it sitting around with a bunch of my other miscellaneous finds for a couple of years. Pretty sure I found it on school property in Texas someplace. I'd have to go back to my logs to find out where it was for sure.

Logs? You have logs? And some of you even count your clad! Wow, this hobby is getting sophisticated! Actually I wish I had kept logs as I have already forgotten where and how I found some of my "treasures". If nothing else it would help me be a better detectorist if I logged in the setting I had the machine on at the time and what type signal I received. I guess it's not too late.
