WHERES THE GOLD

What's a county nearby: Berks, Lancaster, Lebanon or Cumberland?

Well after looking I think your best shot would be to try to find a river or creek in Lancaster county just south of Strasburg don't trespass lol, all the others aren't placer. sorry not much help good luck. Try a search on here maybe someone knows a spot.

well i,m in lycoming county i have found some colors around the area is there anyone else around the area prospecting?

Yeah probably did you do a new member introduction that might get someone who lives there to see your post, and check the subforums for pensylvania there is probably a club near you too.

how,s every one doing any one doing any panning this weekend?

Yup! Was out for just 1.5 hrs at one of my usual spots with a friend...but also had a chance to finish pan *all* my recent samples. I got:

- fine gold with tin in it from Russell Gulch above Blackhawk CO (tin is nasty stuff, almost as heavy as gold in the pan and a dull yellow color)
- rusty gold from North Clear Creek
- ultra fine gold from Trail Creek ( so fine that my friends and I couldn't see it at all while out in the field (always bring your black sands home for careful processing!!!))
- a couple flecks from a quick, single sample pan in a little dry creek bed running into Lake Dillon
- lots of gorgeous, pure gold from one of my usual spots in South metro Denver

...a fun time finish panning my samples from the last week!
