Any specific info known would be appreciated. Found this chunk of iron in a nearby community park, about 8" down, in the unincorporated area of Harris County, on the south side of Houston/Pearland, TX. Guessing it's from an old city water or sewer line. The bowed, or curved nature of the piece is interesting. Wondering if anyone has seen markings like the "3x3" on this one, and any idea how old it could be? Thank you for looking!

Dating this piece would be difficult. It's very ugly. :laughing7:

But seriously, it is part of a cast iron pipe fitting. There isn't enough there to determine if it was an elbow or a straight fitting. The 3 X 3 marking is just an indicator that this fitting was 3" on both ends.
