Good Day All,

I am really enjoying reading all the welcomed advice, it is very appreciated. I have one questions. Where is the best place to hunt with a metal detector? Can I hunt in public places like parks, up and down the side of the road? If i do get permission to hunt on a private place do I have to pay them if I find anything? I plan to make my 1st metal detecting purchase in the next few weeks. I can not wait to hit the ground running. I'm growing up so fast...lol....Thanks

I search for coins in city parks, school yards, fair grounds, church yards, and where I live the strip from sidewalk to street is public property. Do some research and find some places where circuses were held years ago, old country stores, I have found places where old country schools that are no longer there. Private property work out a deal before you start hunting. I have hunted on private property some usually looking for a lost ring or keys and make the deal that I get to keep all coins found while looking for what ever they lost. Anywhere people have been there will be lost coins let your imagination run wild. This is only my 2nd post but have been using a detector for 46 or so years.

Don't know if you live in a house with a yard or not, but if you do that is one of the best places to start. Public parks, schools, and, fairgrounds are good places also. Right now my husband and I are working an old fairground it is full of pull tabs and beer cans. It is also full of money but we haven't found any old coins yet. Where ever you hunt just have fun. :)

HH,
Pepper

Just make sure as probably rehashed 1,000,000 times, that you leave no trace of your digging so that future generations may enjoy Metal Detecting ;D

Have Fun!
