If you want to get full market value for your gold, you'll have to find a buyer that is willing to pay it. Generally if you turn it into jewelry or something you can sell it for spot plus. But that takes time and investment on your part. To cash out quick, you will probably not get spot for your gold. However, you can get 90% or better by dealing with a reputable refinery. Skip Cash for gold or any of those other scams out there advertising on TV. Last I heard they weren't even paying 25% of spot.

Coin shops may take it off your hands for 70% or so, and pawn shops are more than likely gonna be worse.

Yes,I am having heck selling a 22 ouncer right now!

Selling it has never been a problem for me, finding it is the hard part.

Yea,I have buyers I have been dealing with for years that are apprehensive right now with the HIGH unstable market.

If your looking to turn your gold fines in $$ where do you take it? When you find a gold nugget give or take an oz. more or less where do you go to get full market value? :dontknow:

thanks, goldhat

Midwest Refineries is one of the best, they give you 95% of the spot price on the day it is melted down.

Thanks folks for the great info. It looks like refineries are the way to go. I'm guessing you can ship your finds to the refinery or deliver them yourself.
Shipping them seems like I'm taking a chance.... guess ya can insure anything.

Working on it......its a dandy!!!!!

Midwest Refineries , great folks to deal with

I sold a 3/4 oz nugget to a 49er for $1,400 a few months ago. Nuggets are worth 2 to 3xs spot. I sold 1/2oz of gold to an attorney in Lovelock, NV, that was doing some work for me, for $400 when the spot was $621 an ounce 3 years ago.

Only way I will be able to own one, is to find one. :(

Cant wait to see the pic though. :icon_sunny:

GG~

If you live in "gold country" it shouldn't be hard to find buyers for small to moderate amounts, you can get more per oz. than selling to a refiner, unless it is fine stuff.
