Good luck and happy hunting.

Looks like RR stop is winning so far! :D Both sound like fun! Don't forget our pics!! :D

off to RR, laters

Well good luck and hurry back with lots of pictures for us! :D

Neither - Hilly zone not historically researched. You could be there forever.... RR Station sounds too good.... Run over with geomap detectors and 5 million people with Explorer/MXT- 's Try a few bizzare spots along the tracks. Close to the older stores... Mabe there's a few places the SP did some gradeing? Then default to a old ground for a benny or two.... (Average night here....._)

Both places sound good.

why did u all send me there???? i just wasnt meant to be today.... first it didnt cool down like i thought, then i relize i need to get gas when its too late on the highway, then i blow a tire going 70, then when i get there i relize i have on sandals and there is mesquite everywhere ............ sheesh, nothin good, no coins, just "stuff" 2 keeper bottles, well 1 3/4, found 2 insulators, one cracked, both common, a harmonica piece, a tag/marker of some sort, very old rr nail, melted glass stopper, salt shaker top, mortise lock half, and broken china, and may have found a tad silver, its a suspender clip, a lindsey, pat 188/9 something, pretty sure its silver since there was no rust on the clip itself. oh, and to top the day off, i even pissed a little beetle off too :-\, he is lucky i wasnt having a real bad day . and to add to that, i had to drive 50 going back home on the donut >:(

p.s. sorry for not having many outdoor pics, i just wasnt in the mood. there was old foundation everwhere i didnt snap much

I voted for the hills, but I like your power line glass insulator.

I think you picked a great spot!! Love love lovin the finds! ;D

Sorry to say you sound like me thou when faced with a decision, once I decide I sit there & think " Golly! I really should have gone the other route!!! " :D

Fabulous pix!! They are outstanding. . photographer? ;D

Next time remember your proper shoes & maybe bug be gone repellent & fill up the tank eh ;D

I really liked the train area, hope you go again & share with everyone . .as well I am truly eager to see what those hills hold!!

Again, maybe not what you were seeking, but truly great finds!! ;D

Bogart :D

I found myself looking at that tire and praising God you were okay! Wow! I really do like your finds though....the china pieces and the insulator are great and you took some awesome pictures too! I am so glad you are okay! :D

Super post, chong! This one was a lot of fun! (Well, at least for us ;D)

As bad as your day was, with the tire and all, it could have been a lot worst. You're able to hunt another day.

Always enjoy your posts. Thanks for sharing.

thanks for the compliments and concerns, ya, me and tires dont have good luck :D the cool thing i think of this "junk" is it did come from a historical location and i will catalog it, that way my decendents can have a piece of our local history, my mini museum ;D

Before I saw the pic of the beetle, I wondered if that was the kind it was. I've pissed many of those off in Roy, N.M.

Lots of insulators in NM. Grandpa bought all the onld poles on the right of way from Mosquero to Springer and another guy bought all the bridges and then turned around and sold all the wood to the state for a big profit. That was long ago in the 60's.

Lots of typical homestead finds. Great stuff. I found alot of cobalt blue Vicks nose drop bottles around their old homestead. They're a booger to hunt when the grass is up and those little no see'ums are flying all over evertime you go to dig. Also gotta watch out for the snakes trying to hide in any shade they can find.

Good finds!

I miss those days.

Burt

well hit your tommychong water pipe and head for the hills, lol

nothing better than sitting on a hill enjoying the scenery with that sweet smell of , ya u know floating past your face

What's a little flat tire and running out of gas when there's huntin' to be done?!! ;D

At least you didn't find a bag of poo or a goat's head! (Sorry, that was from another thread)

Glad you're OK; by the way, I voted for the hills. (OH... wait... I forgot to vote) ;D

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.
