Where is gold deposited downstream of abandoned bridge support/pier?

Think of the structure as a riffle of a sliucebox. Adhere to all other known basics of logic and of course, gold is where you find it.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the yella. GOOD LUCK!

Don't just focus downstream. You'll want to look directly upstream from the pier. When the water is flowing, the pier creates a low pressure zone in front of the pier.

Thank You for the info!! The water has caused a V-shaped deposit around the pier-the front, leading edge being the point of the V and the "legs" of the V are beside and downstream of the pier. What area would you dredge first?

Thank You So Much!!! I will definitely try that area!!

digging under any bridge especially it's pilings is typically illegal

Adjacent and even sub-adjacent digging is a huge fine in california on active highways. Caution is needed. John
