where do you guys go drywashing?

You could head down around the Colorado river, out around Palos Verde area or anywhere down that way, there are a lot of areas down there, just research where you can go.

Made a few trips down to Cali to drywash with an old friend. We worked claims in the Randsburg area one year, and then the next trip we were
out in an area NE of Barstow.

Here's a thread about one of the trips

Ken passed away in 2014, and I haven't been back down there since then.

Your post brings back old memories of trips out into the desert thanks.

I was going around this area until we got 3" of rain this fall.

Lots of gulches come off the Greenhorn Mountains that still have some fines and an occasionally picker.
Also a few high and dry benches along the Kern river.

I have a few un-claimed spots I hit and find some dust - not worth claiming as it would be a wash.

cheers Mike

1637, There's a lot of gold out in the area called Coolgardie, near Barstow. There's a lot of claims out there, but, there are also areas not claimed. It's a matter of researching online, to determine where no claims have been filed, then spend some time prospecting.

Years ago, when I signed up for a how to with a prospecting equipment store, we went to that area, and one of the people spent a day looking for a good place to dig. The next day, everyone was out where he found gold. Everyone got some, including small pickers.
