I have a local bank that could turn into a money and miles-saving dump (not to mention they seem to be much more stable than other large banks found around here) if I can find a way to reroll halves and rebox them. The boxes needless to say are not the problem, but finding the paper halves sleeves sure are.

So, where do you guys get yours, those who re-roll? And, do you have some sort of tray, etc you use to quick-measure the stack for accuracy?

I get mine from the bank, I just ask for them, they are free

You can find them online easily enough, search for half wrappers. costs about $15 per 1,000 wrappers. Also what uncubano said - every time you're in a bank, ask them for wrappers.

You get half dollar sleeves? Ive never been able to get halves from any bank and ive asked lots- this was before I found and got an sccount with banks that have counters-

just keep stacking, just keep stacking, stacking stacking stacking

That's weird that there isn't a bank around that has them. All of my local banks carry a supply of half wrappers.

One bank had them for the taking in limited quantities, but they closed. B of A in Needles, CA, BTW. That town no longer has a bank in-state closer than ohhhhh, 100 miles or so away.

In Laughlin, NV there is Mutual of Omaha Bank, otherwise you can go ohh, 50-60 miles to find another in-state bank.

In the Bullhead City, AZ area banks either don't offer more than a bare handful at a time, or they don't offer them. They'll take rolled coins though. Wal-Mart sells empty tubes (but not for halves). There are casinos across the river in Laughlin who still take loose change, and the banks will straight up tell you to go there or use a Coinstar because NONE of them have coin machines, period.

I can turn in the other direction and go to Kingman. I canceled the CU account there last year when they proved to be anything but CRH friendly (rolled with the account number on each roll), which was the last straw with them. They were trying to pull themselves away from the abyss, which seems to have worked but they even charge you to CLOSE an account.

Other banks I have not perused well enough to find out, or they are just local branches of the same banks found around here.

So, folks, asking the bank for paper sleeves just ain't in the works unless I want to limit myself to perhaps a box a week. Thank you, Landpirate.

I just ask at banks. They always give them to me. Some say how many do you want? I say as much as you can give me. I get stacks about 3 inches high.
