where do people usually go on Independence Day

This will be my first year staying home in 10 years...usually go to W Maryland to be with wife's family. Guess I'll be beeping.

It's a day of parades, cook-outs, with friends and then to see the fireworks and maybe an after party.

If not to water , then some one else's yard. Or both. Plus a parade for approx. 40 % of folks , and fireworks. Flea market for some.
A neighbor down the roads yard for me usually at dusk.
Been sticking near home usually. To dodge traffic and keep the dogs a little calmer due to sporadic fireworks on and around the forth.

Where do they go? They used to go by the hundreds to MY favorite golf course or fishing spot. That's where. I stay home now . Bitter? Not me...

Do nothing during the day. Head to the lake around 6:00 pm when families are packing up and hit the water for the stuff they left behind.

Usually, I just stay home. Unless it is necessary, I am not going to the place where a lots of people gathering due to the increasing terrorist attacks.

Beach/water hunt at 4:30/5:00 am on 4th, then return either that night or VERY early on the 5th! Between those times spending with family.

Usually spent the day on top of a hill that my mother and her 10 offspring own now. Nice place to watch fireworks from Eugene, Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon, Brownsville.

We stay home and cook on the grill outside. Nothing special but we keep away from the highways where too many folks drive too fast due to limited time for traveling.

I don't know where they go. But...i wish they would stay gone!

Hi; I'll be on the banks of the Charles River in Cambridge,MA about 500' from the Fireworks barges. I'm so close I can actually see the Pilot house without binoculars. I do it every year. They also put up BIG screens and speakers so I see and hear the Concert on the Esplanade Live every year as well. I love it. I get their by the Public Transit System. I only walk 10 blocks to my spot. I get a birds eye view of EVERTHING. May God Bless All of You & Yours & Our Veterans where ever they may be. PEACE:RONB :headbang: :icon_salut:
