Hello all you M6 owners. I was wondering how low you let your batteries run until you change them? I remember reading it somewhere once that when the batteries get to 8 on the meter it is time to change them. My meter reads 9 right now. I went out this morning and found some clad, pennies, dimes, and quarters. The machine seemed to be working fine but I don't want to possibly miss something good because of low batteries. Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks
Roy

Roy, Manual says low battery indicator is at 8 changed mine at 9. ;D

My Minelab starts emitting a random beep when they're getting low but lets you keep going for quite a while after. Basically it like a hearing aid, change em' when you ain't hearing what you should.

coinstrike manual says detector will beep and give a low batt warning at 6v and you should still have about 1hr of detecting once that happens. mine started getting al chattery at 7v and wouldnt shut up, even with the coil in the air. i shipped it back and waiting on a replacement.

Time to change them you have maybe 20 hours on them or less change them. On my M-6 you cannot see the screen as well if you drop to 8 or below. By the way I love the M-6 easy on batteries and turn it on and GO! Always waiting for my friend to find the program he wants to use heck sometime I have my first find and he is still looking for a program.

Manual for the MXT says 8 - can go lower if using alkalines, but the rechargeables need to be changed pdq at that range.
