Hunting bud dropped by and we headed out to the shore. A little overcast but a nice day for a beach hunt. Arrived at our destination and saw the markings of some erosion:
Put a smile to my face since last weekend I was cursing at the Beach Gods for a lack luster hunt...(lesson learned do not curse at the Beach Gods as they will play very mean tricks on you). Started thinking the Gods had heard me as hit after hit kept coming as we worked our way down the bank in the wet sand and shallow water. My friend landed the first non coin hit with a nice .925 Sterling womans ring. I soon followed with a nice Triton Tungsten TC 850 wedding band style ring (sounded great in the scoop). After popping nickel after nickel I figure it was going to be a good ring day..was in the groove. Next for me was the Mickey Mouse copper ring. A couple of little charms drove me nuts (especially the crab) as it kept falling out of the scoop. A beautiful yellow glint brought a smile to my face, only to be taken away when no marking can be found on a nice looking earring and a small spot showed the gold color fading away. Then the cruelest of cruel joke played by the gods....great sound, great color, stones...a truly movie moment with the sun's rays glinting off the gold colored COSTUME JEWELRY RING (no markings)! UGH!. Never shall I anger the gods again. Multi-jewelry day and not one a beautiful golden circle to claim. Enjoy the pics...hope your hunts went better!
Happy Hunting!
