Yup nothing worth a crap (or priced right) at any sales I went to yesterday but on my way home I stopped at Walmart for 6 items & on my way out I noticed a dark colored coin sticking out from under the coin star machine. Looked like a penny but was the size of a nickel, picked it up & without looking at the date or the back I knew I picked up a war nickel. A 1943 P nickel to be exact with a nice dark patina! I hear of people making coin star finds all the time but this was a first for me! I also just noticed the reverse is slightly rotated.

Nice find !

Nice find. When I was a kid I wondered why those nickles were black. If I knew then what I know now I would of kept them.

Very cool!..>its funny, cause i just posted about a buff i got back in change..Looks like its a good week for nickels!

Love it!

Like me this AM - flea market found a few pieces - found $1 bill on the ground - paid for my purchases at the very least.

I have paid for purchases at self checkout lanes more than once from change people left behind or forgot. $18 was the biggest find (3 $5 bills & 3 $1 bills) followed by $7 once & a few dollars several times. Also once when checking out at a hole in the wall Krogers a few years back at like 8am I found a folded up $20 bill right under my feet. I wasn't even spending $20 at the store so it made my day! Once when out scouting a metal detecting spot I found a folded up $10 bill on the ground where a bunch of trash ends up because of wind. Funny thing is that time I was telling my buddy to watch the ground because there might be money & before I could get it all out I found that $10 bill. I couldn't believe it. I felt like I predicted it, well almost!

Ah turns out to be even better than I thought. It's not only a silver war nickel but it is indeed an error coin with a rotated reverse! $15-$20-$25 seems to be the value which is much better than the $2 maybe $3 bucks I thought it was worth without checking out the rotated reverse error values. This one on eBay is the same but mine is rotated the other direction but exactly the same amount of rotation.

This is mine & its in the case perfectly straight on the front.
