In one pic the shaft looks threaded, which would make me think hardware.Maybe some sort of small door handle.??

Kinda big (tall) to be a victorian knife rest... and that screw together thing in the middle... hmmmm...

it seems very familiar!

Yea... maybe a double pull-knob from a door... it really resembles a drawer/cupboard knob.

I know, I know!! ;D They're those flimsy door knob pulls I had on my folding doors. I've since replaced them, they're in storage and that is exactly how I stored them just like your pic.

Ok, I meant bifold doors! But, I do remember those were the same drawer & cabinet pulls that were in my mobile home/house trailer.

First-off....I don't have a clue ;D But, here's the impression I got from the pics. Seems like it could be an axle & wheels from an old toy. Granted the wheels are sorta fancy, but may coincide with something like a circus wagon. Also, it does look like the center rod may be threaded, but turning on an old lathe may have given it that apperance. Just a thought..............

i go with decorative door pulls. the threaded posrtion in the midde would allow for adjustment/tightening.
