Well,
As usual Pipster and I got out Saturday hoping the "Silver" Gods would shine down on us once again. We got an early start with little luck except for some clad. I can't speak for Pipster, but I was a little discouraged with the start for the day and we both decided a change of location would be in order. Not too far from our first spot we started the swinging again with even worse results. We made a final plan to hit an area that produced for us the previous weekend that could be hiding some more Silver. We ran over our tracks from the previous weekend that did indeed produce good results. After pulling a 1945D Wheat it was followed by the first Silver of the day a 1923 Merc only about 2.5" deep. I decided to make a loop around the tree that was shading the Merc and upon returning about 5" from the first Merc, the XLT started singing it's Silver song once again 2.5" down a 1941D Merc. The rest of the day we hit a spot I am going to call the "Dime Garden", as between us both we must have pulled 45-50 and also gave up a silver ring...
All in all it was a great day again. Pipster was the $$Clad Killer$$ for the day with $8.00+- My clad total was $6.48, 2 Wheats, 2 Mercs, Silver ring, and my second 1867-1967 Canadian Confederation Centennial cent ,
Thanks again Pipster for another nice day of hunting...
Thanks for looking,
