Today at work we needed some pennies in the register drawer, so one of the guys I work with cracked open a roll. I went to get change and saw a wheat penny. I thought it was interesting and set it off to the side...saw one under that.....then another.....and another, etc. When all was said and done, I became the proud owner of 20 wheats, mostly from the '50s and some from the '40s. There was one '44 that had most of its original finish on it. Now if only I could find a solid roll of war nickels in the wild....
