We were able to complete a few more battles over Thanksgiving week. This battle Dad and Tanner both searched $25 in cents from 2 boxes bought from a BOA in Sterling Heights. Tanner was declared the winner with 12 wheats all common (oldest 1944). He also found a 2 cent Euro. Dad found just 9 wheats (oldest 1917s) This was needed for our found in the wild book. We find about one needed coin every every month or two. The more holes we fill the harder the remaining are to find. Dad also found 2 dimes and a 1942 King George VI.

Tanner may have won on total wheats but I think you won on total profit dad. Congrats to both of you, I love searching cents.

nice finds! nice on the 17-s... still awaiting that one myself.
keep on searchin'!

how many found in the wild coins do you need to complete your book?

This must be the week. I also found a 2 cent Euro piece in a cent roll. My first, BTW. Considering the trouble the Euro is in they may be rather collectible in the not-too-distant future. Rather like Canadian cents.

This is a shot of book number 1, The 1917s hole is now filled all cents were found in the wild.
Book number 2 needs two coins, 1943s and another s date that I can not remember right now.
