wheat penny wipeout

I haven't been finding wheat cents in boxes lately, but I find quite a few when searching cwr. A lot of my boxes have been brand new boxes also.

Only looking at $20 worth is not an "epic dry run". You need to search way more before switching supply.

It's just frustrating. I guess I got spoiled on my first day of crh. I started with halves and my first roll of coins had 3 40% ers! Lol. Downhill ever since.

I do cents now & then, on boxes I usually avg about 10-15 wheaties, sometimes more. When I get a bag ($50.) from the bank it's a little higher. You should also consider if you can afford it, to save all the copper cents (1981 & earlier), of which I get 15-20% per box. Don't give up, it's only the first inning for you in the hobby.

Boxes in my area average less than 4 wheats per box and a little less than 12% copper. While $20 is not nearly a big enough sample size to gauge what you should expect in your area, not all areas of the country produce the same.

Averaging 8.42 wheats per box so far this year. Poor year on IHs
