Decided to dust off the sovereign Tuesday evening and see if anything had come up in a wheat field that had a turn of the century farm house next to it. No silver or indians have ever turned up there, but I have found numbers of early wheat cents. Still no silver, but I'll take the sleigh bell any day. Did get one very toasty wheat that may be a 1916. Thanks for looking. Kevin

Congrats on the bell, I've only found two of those so far I believe and might have tossed the first one out before getting on the detecting sites and didn't know at the time it was even really that old.

There's gotta be silver lurking around there somewhere, just has to be.

Still looks like a nice hunt even without silver. I would like to find a crotal bell someday, as that is on my list of things to unearth.
