Stopped for a real short hunt after work today. No coins...no jewelry...just a few whatzit relics.
The decorative silver cylinder is hollow and open on the end. It had wood remnants inside as though it were some type of post or dowel cap.(2" diameter). To the left is a brass dish...maybe a needle holder from a sewing machine or phono?? Up front are two brass rivets?? They have layered leather remnants around the cores and have " XI " stamped on the ends. to the right is a flat brass cog or gear??
Any ideas or comments?? thanks and HH....jo

The two larger items are separate finds . The one on the left is brass. On the right is nickle plate copper . The site I was hunting was a homestead from mid 1800s till it burnt in the late 1800s.

Jopher, I cant tell for sure from the photo, but the round disc with the holes in it looks like a piece off a hand cranked meat grinder.

First thing first, determine what type of metal it is. That's where the value comes in. Next find its historical connection, it will give you also a decent value of the object. If both goes together, then you have found a piece of treasure that will give you a fortune.

No clue here... Seeing how it's my birthday today, and I'm getting rib'ed about being so old,
I'll say it was made long before my time... ;D
Good luck on the ID, & Happy hunting~
