I don't even remember where I came across these or when. I came across them going through my stash of finds. I have included the Wheatie for size comparison ( I'm WELL aware what that one is  )

Here's a shot of the obverses....you can see a profile of a head on both of them and some letters on the one on the left (Latin?)

And here's the reverses. What I see are images on people on both of them. The one on the right looks like an adult and a kid and there is more letters on the right edge.

I forgot all about even having these.......anyone have a clue of what they are. I want to say they're Roman of some type but in truth I don't have the foggiest.

Thanx in advance for any help!

If the coins are below 15mm they are AE4’s so later 4th Century.

Coin 1 I believe is probably an AE3/4 of CONSTANTIVS II AD 337-361 (TIVS PF AVG visible) with Rev of either 2 Victories facing holding Wreath or 2 Soldiers either side of a single Standard. Not being able to see Rev text means I cannot clearly state which – I lean towards the 2 Victories type.

Coin 2 is an AE3/4 of circa AD 385-410. Rev is Victory dragging Captive left with I believe the SALVS REIPVBLICAE inscription. Emperor’s face is similar to THEODOSIUS I (AD 379-395) or ARCADIUS (AD 383-392) but could possibly be any of the Emperors around that period up to HONORIUS (AD 393-423)

Well that was easy for Crusader, nice determination. Easy to see that they are (were) Roman coins.....

Have you got them in your stretch? If so, & even if not we need to fish for them one day. I've only had a few small ones!

Looks a lot like our Carp that we have around here. They put up one heck of a fight too. They are so bony though I don't even mess with trying to clean them. I posted a pic of the large mouth bass I caught this week, talk about a fight...WOW!

I dont know how we got from coins to suckers but, Yeah CRU we get them up to like 5- lbs in the rivers. They arent worth a darn to eat though. But, some hillbillies like to smoke them. And I don't mean roll them up and smoke them but, like bbq them. And, nice bass savant! Fattie!

carps use wheatie balls -- or corn flake balls as bait.

Never tried that but just a few kernels of corn right out of the can works great too.

I carp fish & they will eat just about anything. Corn is the cheapest option & one of my Favs as well

I can remember as a kid I would go down to the river with a can of Delmonte corn. I would take a handful and "chum" the hole first///It drove them crazy! I have caught carp way over 20 lbs And yes, they can fight. For those of you wondering what a steelheasd is, it is the best gamefish to catch in the world in my opinion! Basicly it is a hybrid ranibow trout that we have caught in small rivers that go over 20 pounds!
