Whatsit Pendant??

Knorrski found this at a schoolyard.It appears to be a pendant with a odd stone in it.Any ideas??

The stone almost look's like Turquoise from the Bisbee mine, I'd think the pendant would be silver, but look's more like copper? cool find tho....
