I think it is an S. Hope its a d though. You got a scanner you can lay it on? Set the resolution real high like 2400 DPI. It will take a while to scan and file will be HUGE but you may be able to see it clearer.

Did you use the contrast tool in the second pic? It might bring out the detail some more. Jack up the sharpness too. I hope it's a "D", kinda looks like a "D". But I've found '16 Philadelphia mint mercs before, and I swear after looking at it for an hour, I started to see a "D"

I hope yours is the real deal. Would be sweet.

The mark looks too big and too low to me . The top of the mark should be in direct line with the top of the letters in "ONE". I don't think it's a mint mark at all.
