whats your highest amount in clad in one outing?

So far, from searching since about April, my biggest cash haul was $2.32. I have found a total of about $13 in that time. Only unusual finds, money wise, have been a 5 Centimes Frecnch coin, 1 Deutsche Mark, A Buffalo Nickel and a few Wheat Pennies.

Found 5.50 last Sunday at a ballfield (just behind the dugouts and back stop). Found 4.85 same place the day before. Conditions were ideal. Every hit a coin, only about 8 pulltabs. Found several "doubles" (2 coins together). Even quarters down a few inches were "double-hitting" (halo effect). Something about the ground I guess. Was able to turn the Ace 250 sensitivity up to 7 bars with no trouble. Was finding dimes at 6 inches and nickels at 3 inches wich is pretty unusual. Almost got boring and my hand got sore from all the digging. I know I can find plenty more next time once my hand feels better!!
The 250 is a quarter killer!! If it says quarter it is quarter (or 2).

A little over $9.00 in about two hours at a little beach north of Chicago. Was there on vacation...all I have to say is you guys in big cities have it good, could easily pay for a detecor in just one summer with the clad found.

Don't really count it but would guess about $7.00 + or -? JIMI

I used to keep track of those things when I first started detecting back in the late 70's and early 80's
I think the most face value I found in one afternoon was around $18.00
My usual afterwork detecting haul in those days was 65 coins average, Out of that 6 would be silver, Generally four dimes and two silver quarters,
Man I miss those days.
The most silver i found in one outing was at My own church that was built in 1957 and was a fairly modern looking building so was ignored by other detectors. I remembered sunday school picnics on the grounds of that church when I was a kid and We always were given collection plate change so I thought I would detect that church yard for a laugh, I found 42 silver dimes and 27 silver quarters in about 3 hours as well as numerous pennies. Silver was still in circulation in the late 50's and early sixties.
It was a virgin yard. The building just looked too modern for most detectors to think anything good might be in there.
I cleaned up that day!
My best silver haul before or since
