Did you know POLITICS IN ANY FORM IS BANNED FROM THESE FORUMS?? Someone needs to inform the management so they can "fix" the problem.

As for users who don't want to see the forum administration's propaganda, use firefox browser and the "AdBlockPlus" add on. It disappears like magic. Include the "NoScript" add on and you're home free from pesky advertisers who are trying to brainwash us good folks here at Tnet.

Personally, I think posting political ads on this forum is inciting those with dissenting views to express those views. Therefore, there should be no punishment for anyone saying what boobs the current administration or any of the former administrations or any currently running for office (ALL BASES COVERED) are.

They appear to be attached BY PAGE. Go back to same page, get same ads. So, they aren't even rotating properly. Get a screenshot of the ads and post them. Especially the political ones.

Those ads do pull a lot from your computer. They look at your past websites visited and your web searches. Websites have tags associated with them, so even if you aren't looking for mail order brides, that could be in some way connected to the tags of a website you visited.

Then, maybe some of those are just default ads that get thrown into the rotation by the adserver used by the new owners.

The attitude? I have an attitude? Well, yes --- and with GOOD REASON.

The insinuation was that the OP must have been GOOGLING whatever showed up, thus insinuating that the ads were targeted by the OP's browsing history.

THAT WAS A FALSE, MISLEADING OR MISINFORMED STATEMENT . . . mainly because IT IS NOT TRUE. ( I have some google accounts for adwords, google syndication, webmaster tools, etc. so I can target advertising on my website --- they don't do that )

That would be as silly as saying I got the ads because I had been cruizing for Hot Latinas. I'm married to a beautiful Native American woman who is all I can handle, no need to cruise for a different flavor. Besides, it's not my style to be a voyeur. However, I got Google ads for voyeurs.

Mods have no control of the ads, you don't like the ads don't look at them or send complaints to the owners.....

"Uninformed" was the first option and, by order of position, what I consider most likely . . . with biased (as in giving your associates the benefit of the doubt) being next and "fabricated" as the last option. Thus, by order of position, the least likely.
