What's with all of the Painted Novelty Half Dollars?

I knew I had some of these stashed away somewhere. I thought I was supposed to just hold on to them as curiosities. But, I guess I'm supposed to burn them, squash them, or other abusive acts. Any fresh thoughts?


NFC East fans might love or hate D.M. Any suggestions on what I should do with this painted commemorative?


I can't imagine anyone could be so adamantly opposed to good luck superstition as to advise steam roller'ing this. What's a hunter to do with a commemorative that was marketed as being "The World's Luckiest Coin"?



I know where most of us stand on this one, so I won't even ask.



Is there anything polarizing about North Carolina? I'm open to suggestions. Someone out there must hate the Tar Heel State enough to suggest some indignations be performed on this commemorative.

I think the first time I saw these, it was on an American silver eagle. I don't remember anything before that. After a year or so they were on everything with almost any subject.

they hide behind the novelty theme... They are not ment to be circulated... And if they were would immediately leave circulation anyway... Perhaps the government is just waiting for it to become profitable to put an end to it! Slap big fines on the biggest offenders... Like who ever puts Obamas face over Kennedy!

it is just a further indication of how are currency has been devalued... An Obama half ain't worth a plug nickel!
