Whats this! Some type of ore?

Well These seem to always hang out where rusty nails seem to be.
Have no idea what they are, Could be iron piryte but im not actually sure

Hard to say. A little better light in your photo should show more details. Try taking the picture under sunlight.. Any characteristics about it, such as it being brittle or flaky?. Any particular smell or taste to it? Was it found in a region with a mining past or present?
