Sometimes my wife gets jealous when I date my coins. I found this 1921 Morgan. Almost tossed it away as burned up aluminum. Good thing the for the edge. I threw my back out or I would be out hunting, instead of thinking of things to post. View attachment 1538187 44FD386F-DBEB-479A-94BA-644287DEC9A9.jpegView attachment 1538190

I saw the title, considered some of the dogs I’ve got, but then I saw your Morgan.
YIKES!!!

You win.
That is THE ugliest girl I’ve ever seen.

I don’t know about you but I think it’s a beautiful coin. If you’re going to throw it away please contact me first!! Lol

Silver is silver but I would have a hard time melting her down. She’s grown on me. She would be to hard to give up also Rudy! Thanks for the posts!

That sure is a beauty Ahab8! I figure with the amount of detecting this club does there are some really disfigured, hideous gems out there. Thanks for posting that beast.

1877 IH - looked like it was in a fire - took the value all out it

It is amazing the things you think are toast and they end up cleaning up into something. To bad your IH was burnt. It sure doesn’t take long for those new pennies to dissolve:)

Here’s what our IHP’s come out like. crusty patina with crazy signals. This is pictures of one after a Brillo pad. They are ugly you’re lucky you got a date.IMG_2110.JPGIMG_2109.JPG

I once told a gal I was into old coins. Showed her my "sketches", she wasn't impressed I could tell. No second date.

1897 Barber dime. Completely slick on the none date side and on the date side the date barely came through. But I'm proud of it.
