It may be a well worn version of a spade hoe.

Re: Whats the name of this Hoe ?

:laughing7: Its hard to say if its a unusual piece of Adze or a Old time Hoe that was used by the Men of the Camp to

maintain their Garden and other needs  , Her curve is slight and as per the photo and one can see that I am holding

her butt end. I also noticed that the end of her tongue is not sharp ( Right end of the pic) , I would like a Sharp piece of

Adze in my Spring Camp ;D. But I do need a name For her to be I.D'ed for the Fur Trade Section and my Book On Iron

:icon_thumleft: :laughing7:

Re: Whats the name of this Hoe ?

Looks a lot like an old trowel. The handle would attach where the two holes are. So, just saying...... Monty

Probably won't find "Nappy Headed" style in the Fur Trade Section of the iron hoes....... :dontknow:
I guess I'll have to side with Monty in that looks like a trowel.

It might be someone's idea of a grub hoe...

Not all smithy - made tools were the best/strongest design work...

Yep, my old tool book says its a Coke Trowel. It appears to match one made by Disston. ...just sayin'.

Re: Whats the name of this Hoe ?

I hope to heck it is a trowel. It's been a while since I got one right. My percentage of right guesses is so low I am too lazy to type that many zeros! But "What Is It" is my favorite forum on tnet because I learn s much from it. Monty
