I am planning a one week trip to florida for some metal detecting. Last year I went to panhandle (Seaside) and it was really nice.
This year I'm seeing a lot of reviews mentioning the privatizing of beaches by many facilities. Does this limit access to people walking
the beach or just those trying to enter the beach at a certain location? Anybody down there know??

I'm open to any suggestions as i would hate to book a week and then find I'm limited. For many years I would walk the beaches from Daytona
south and never had a problem. Decided to switch to the emerald coast two years ago and am loving it.

Florida has about 650 miles of beaches and about 90% are open for detecting. Just stay away from detecting in the water on the Treasure Coast, you can only detect from toe of dunes to waters edge there, can't detect any federal lands so do not detect National Seashores.
