What's that? The tone is ringing? Oh it's for ME!!! My first real ring!

I found a junk ring by accident last year and that was it. I brought the kids to a local playground this afternoon- Eureka!!!
I think it say 10K but can't make out what I think is a 1...My first real piece of jewelry! Also found myself the front of an old metal car!!! Did my part as well and threw out a bunch of trash I came across. :laughing7:

Not 100% sure, but that almost looks like Black Hills Gold to me.

What's black hills gold? Is that bad? It's yellow gold overall, the designs on the sides look like a rose gold, and the background behind the eagle is onyx...My 6 yr old has been watching too many commercials- she says I can get a thousand dollars for it if I turn it in!


***Ooohh silly... I just found the site for Black Hills Gold and you know? I think you're right! If I could get $346.00 for it, that would pay off my detectors!

Any idea on the Year and make on the car? Just curious. Went around it a bit but couldn't find the rest.
Time to put an ad on Craigslist to see if anyone lost it.

Glad you found the site for Black Hills Gold, its not bad by any stretch, its a different type of gold, and its signature is always either a leaf, or a rose in a different color of gold. I have a few Black Hills Gold rings, personally I love them. And wtg on the ring! :)

Looks real, :o I think your right about the rose gold. :icon_thumleft: I'm going to cut to the chase. Lots of people will have many of ideas of what it is or how to tell what it is and.... :tongue3: In the end you'll need to take it to a jeweler and have it acid tested. Don't just take it to one place take it to two. Then you'll know for sure if its real or not. :hello2:

Acid test probably wont be required. See link, :) And damn am I jealous. I have yet to find my first gold ring, of any kind.. And winter is fast approaching.

I browsed some of the posts, and are you having a hard time knowing its real gold? Or just black hills gold?
Either way. Here is a simple test you can do before you take it in to a shop.

Some shops have machines, that do this weird xray type thing. It vibrates the atoms of each molecule. And can tell you exactly whats in the ring. Or item. No scratching required. I hate to have that done. If you can, call some places that buy gold and see if they have that machine. All I know is, its the same kinda machine the Mars rover uses to check out mars rocks. Pretty cool.
