What's it find from funeral home

LOL, I knew that would get your attention.
Any how I found this laying in the flower bed at the funeral home I've been hunting. Its made of copper and has cotton type material inside similar to the inside of a lighter, It measures 1 1/2" long, 13/16" wide and 1/4" thick.

There are no makers marks and is missing one of the hooked ends that holds the material inside. It is very delicate from sitting in the elements.

Hand warmer??
The really old type that has the asbestos(?)lining.
Almost looks like the ones my folks used in Minn. when they milked the cows. I was little, in 1961. Yours looks older though.
Hope ya find out what it is!!

My thought too, inner making of an old zippo.Sponge to hold lighter fluid.

I found one with sponge inside, i think it was used to keep it from sloshing around
