What would you pay for Morgans and Rounds?

I was at a local flea market when I saw a fellow selling silver coins.

He had $25 on Canadian Maple $5 coins and $23 on nice condition Morgan dollars.

What would you pay?
I went to a flea market one time too and saw a guy selling morgans for some rediculous high price. I pulled out my loop and took a peek and asked why so much for a counterfit coin? He got all offended and I tested it with my magnet and it stuck like glue. As I walked away I glanced back and saw him looking real close at his coins.

But back to your question. I TRY to pay $10-11 on dollars and rounds sometimes more on the silver rounds.

I have one rule about buying precious metals in any form........I have to be able to buy enough below melt to immediately resell at an acceptable profit margin. If I was buying just a few coins/rounds I wouldn't pay more than 65-75% of melt. On the other hand, if someone wanted to sell $1000 face in Morgans or several hundred rounds I'd pay more.

As far as I'm concerned you make your money when you buy & collect when you sell. Counting on prices going up is speculating.

I don't know where you guyz find these deals. I advertise and couldn't get a bite even if I offered to pay melt!
Was buying Morgans from my local dealer for $15 ea, they were nice, mostly '21's, till silver hit $18 and his price jumped from $15 ea to $19 ea. Now, I would say $20-$23 ea would be a deal, but not for me!

When I sold my morgan collection, the lowest I got was $15.50, most sold for the low $20's, and the highest was $78... That was when silver was around $17/ounce...
Guess I did good... Oh, epay..

The gent above saying he'll pay 10 or 11.00.... I thought when i read 10 or 11 the thread was several years old.
I said I TRY to pay that. It's a business, I have costs like everyone else. But I do not have a storefront. All my profit goes to the state anyway. It is paying my daughters tuition at a CA university.
