Reminds me of the old Lodge Sportsman hibachi like set-up. The juice drain makes me wonder if it had other parts that it was used with to catch the juice for makin’ gravy.

Yes , and back in the "olden days " they would also save meat fat for making soap .

i would call it a....vintage hibachi oval grill grate

never saw one with the handle attached to the grate b4
