Just wantd to know what most of you all use to dig your plugs, coins relics, etc. I have been using a home made hoe that I welded up from stuff I found. I call it the many hoe.......I also made a sifting box from scrap wood and wire I had laying around. The only sand we have in Kentucky is the 3 truck loads at the beach down by the lake and a few of the newer valleyball pits in the area. most of the stuff I dig in is hard ground but also work sand and wood chips when I can find it..........

Pictures would be great...............................thanks Kermit

lesche or predator tools digger (pretty much the same tool with very slight differences)

No stronger, more durable handheld digger out on the market than those 2.

I use one of these to cut my plugs, works great, doesn't kill the grass the last 2 pics are before and after. you can pick one up cheap here:

Thanks for the info and links I think I want to get on of those lesche knifes and a Pinpointer I'm hearing good things about the Bulleye 2. any ideals before I order

Just checked e bay

The Gator tool from Kellyco is abut the same as the Lesche or Predator and sometmes you can catch it on sale for nearly half price. JIM

First post and I'm a 1-month newbee... I found a bulb planter at Lowes that is sturdy stainless steel and has a thumb-operated pivoting thingy to adjust hole diameter. It cuts nice plugs and releases them on command. Can't remember, but I think we paid about $5 for it.

i like the lesche predator. very very sturdy. you can really lean on it getting leverage to pry out plugs. it would take some serious abuse to break it.

Try this, they are good for your wrists.

KellyCo carries them, rock solid and tough as ...
