I found theses bottle while digging a silver plated spoon... there was a lot of broken glass and then theses popped out... I was shocked to see the color come out of the ground and not broken.... my question what would theses been used for... I assume medicine... the amber one has 1940 on the bottom... no clue to what the other symbols, letters and numbers are for.

The "B" in a circle was used by a company called Brockway Machine Bottle Company or Brockway Glass Company. Might want to check that angle on that one. I can't make out the other mark well enough to guess.

The brown one looks like a "Pinkham" pill bottle. Most all women took Pinkham pills back in the 30s/50s. Tony

Right Tony. Wasn't the slogan like " A little baby in every Bottle?" Conceive pills I read.

Her name, picture and medicine became world famous and they allowed her brothers, sons, and grandchildren to successfully market her vegetable compound via a 14 1/2 oz. bottle well into the 20th century.
