It looks like a cobbler’s hammer, size 2. They were 15 oz generally, depending on manufacturer. I’d guess it is a little lighter from use.

Very nice item

Cobbler's hammers seem to have a curve on the one end.
Cross pein/Blacksmith could be another name for this head

It is solid stainless steel. Weighs 14oz. It is 5" long.
Nice looking hammer head
Though I was wondering if you have tested this head with a magnet?
Looking at the magnified photo it showed it's polished up. Rust in the divots.
I'm not saying it can't be St/S, but a magnet will confirm if it is or isn't.

I'm with pepperj. I don't think it's stainless.

If it is stainless, it may be a high carbon stainless and a magnet will stick to that, too.

From dealing with 1000s of tons of St/S over the years, there has been a few surprises.
Nuts, bolts, especially screws will draw a magnet.
When I say draw, it's a free swinging magnet off a cord/chain.
400 series will stick, 301/316 shouldn't.
High alloys will draw because of the content of nickel or other elements.
If this head was any alloy it would be a 304/316L.

If I had a hammer
I'd hammer in the morning
I'd hammer in the evening
All over this land
I'd hammer out danger
I'd hammer out a warning
I'd hammer out love between
My brothers and my sisters, ah-ah
All over this land
60 years old

That should be a song. I like it!

Hi My Fellow TH'er
Your hammer appears to be a Bricklayers hammer. ;-)
